When Travis Cox completed his service with the U.S. Navy, he needed to find a new direction for his life. After trying a few jobs he didn’t really love, he decided to go back to school and chose Lincoln Tech’s East Windsor, CT for the career training that would change his future. Now a diesel technician for FedEx Freight, Travis recalls how Lincoln Tech made him feel valued as a veteran. “They made [their commitment] apparent with everything they’ve done,” he says. “They helped me [understand] the GI Bill, which I was new to. They gave me the knowledge that led me to my career, and Career Services showed me the different directions I could go in my career. My current employer, FedEx Freight, was one of the presenters on campus. I can’t thank Lincoln Tech enough.”
“I would tell veterans, ‘don’t wait,’” he adds. “If you have the drive to learn, come here. Make that jump. Lincoln Tech makes it easy.”
Visit lincolntech.edu to find a campus near you, and put your potential to work in a rewarding, challenging hands-on career.
