Studio Tenn Talks: Theatre Conversations With Patrick Cassidy

Studio Tenn and Patrick Cassidy are excited to welcome Philip William McKinley to the show! Philip has directed record-breaking productions from Broadway to Salzburg to Tokyo. After his taking over the directorial reins for SPIDERMAN: TURN OFF THE DARK on Broadway in New York City, the production earned the top box office record, taking in nearly million in one week. SPIDERMAN: TURN OFF THE DARK also has the distinction of being one of the top 20 all-time box office grossing productions in Broadway history.

In New York City, McKinley also directed the five-time Tony-nominated Broadway
musical THE BOY FROM OZ starring Hugh Jackman, the revival of THE MOST HAPPY
FELLA starring Paul Sorvino at the New York City Opera, the Drama Desk-nominated
hip comedy THWAK, and the cult Off-Broadway musical ZOMBIE PROM.

In 2014, McKinley directed a private event for Steve Wynn, which brought McKinley
back together with Hugh Jackman. The event garnered such a positive response McKinley was invited to direct a second project. The multi-million dollar production STEVE WYNN’S SHOWSTOPPERS opened at the Encore Theater in December 2014 to fantastic reviews and was named Best New Show 2014 and Best Musical 2015. CNN stated it was “one of the best Musical Show Openings in Vegas history.”

More recently, McKinley re-imagined and directed the new edition of the aquatic
spectacle “LE RÊVE – THE DREAM” which is currently running at the Wynn Hotel, Las
Vegas. The show has been awarded the title “Best Show in Las Vegas” for the past eight years.
