Pinewood Social — Nashville’s “It” Hang Out
Who’s who of Nashville has been seen frequenting this innovative hot spot known as Pinewood Social. I felt my social significance draining as I kept reading about this “it” hangout. StyleBlueprint was raving about it. Garden and Gun wrote a feature story. Meanwhile, I had yet to make my way over to the Rolling Mills area to see the masterpiece of a restaurant/bar…and bowling alley? I had to experience this masterful Nashvillian creation.
Saturday morning (a surprisingly warm February Saturday morning I must add) a suggestion was made to venture to this personally unchartered territory. As I entered SoBro there was refreshing contrast of the charm of the historic Rolling Mill Hill’s area with the art deco design of many of the residential condominiums. Pinewood Social’s location is ideal as this area in Nashville is attractive to young professionals. Entering into Pinewood Social I was swept up by friendly hosts that were able to escort me to a quaint little table by the bar. I would like to point out that I was surprised there was no wait, but as I sipped my mimosa I noticed more and more people pouring into the door and heading to the barista to have a coffee.
Rocking in my chair in the center of the room I found myself wanting to be friends with everyone there. Hello couple at the bar sporting strangely similar outfits. How do you do family having a morning bowl accompanied by bloody marys? The creator of this place gave it a more than suitable name as just being there makes conversation easy. Pinewood Social is a perfect addition to the Nashville scene. All ages and all styles of people were content in their morning brunch at this fabulous destination.
Pinewood Social has branded them selves as the place to meet. This is true as the location is conveniently down from bustling Broadway and a couple back roads reach from my neck of the woods, Green Hills. We can only hope that more places like this continue to rise up through out the Nashville area as the development can only improve the real estate of the surrounding area.
