Tennessee Governor Bill Lee announced Tuesday that the State of Emergency in Tennessee will continue through October.
The State of Emergency will include adjustments made to previous executive orders from the governor. Of note, remaining COVID-19 restrictions over businesses and limits on gathering sizes have been lifted in the 89 counties with a state-run health department. With the weakening of restrictions, local governments will still have authority on implementing mask mandates.
All states across the country are under a State of Emergency, according to Lee. Tennessee has been in a State of Emergency for the past seven months.
