FOX 17 News is in a Code Red Weather Alert for severe storm chances on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
Friday morning will start with fog, becoming dense in a few spots around the Midstate.
While isolated showers will be possible, we are looking at a mainly dry day.
Showers and thunderstorms will be developing Friday evening and moving north overnight. These storms will have the potential to be strong to severe. Timing for the storms will be from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m.
Saturday will be a wet day with another chance for strong to severe storms. The window for the strong storms will be from 2pm-10pm, but rain will be possible in the morning as well. Winds will be out of the southwest at 20 mph with gust into the 40 mph range.
