Script to Screen – powered by Corner to Corner – helps kids fall in love with reading through their love of movies. We start by watching a movie the kids LOVE, like Black Panther, and read the script at the SAME TIME. This firmly connects the dots that the movie on the screen started on the page.
Then the kids write their own script, learn how to work the cameras and lights that make movies possible, and make their own short youtube movies!! Our program has shown to be effective through some small data sets with our partners at Vanderbilt, and we are looking to expand this research in 2021.
