Some Nashville businesses self-enforcing stricter COVID-19 restrictions

Chef Bryan Weaver dreamed of this East Nashville restaurant and even picked out the name of it years before it opened: The Red Headed Stranger, named after a popular Willie Nelson song.

“This is what I do. It’s all I’ve ever done,” Weaver said.

He said he’s determined to not let COVID-19 destroy this labor of love, so he’s taking a bold step. On his own, he decided to now only fill takeout orders and only allow outdoor dining.

Plus, Restaurant owner on closing: ‘It’s time for the small business guy to fight back’. A Nashville restaurant gets shut down over the weekend by Metro Health inspectors who say it’s not following COVID-19 guidelines.
