Trying to break into the music industry? Want to learn how to get your foot in the door? Frustrated because you’re not even getting asked to any interviews? Everyone’s path into the industry is different but if you can learn to add value wherever you are, you’ll make it work!
Let me tell you my story…
• I graduated from college with a dual music degree (Piano Performance & Music Technology)
• Interned at live music theatre during college
• Hadn’t taken any music business classes
• Drove to Nashville the day after graduation because I was so excited to get my career started
• I had no interviews, no place to live, no friends, no knowledge about industry
• Continued to set up coffee/lunch meetings which led to an artist management internship
• How I turned my internship into a part time paid job after several months and eventually a full time position
