George Gruhn Teaches a Guitar Lesson | Gruhn Guitars, Nashville, TN

While George Gruhn is an expert on fretted instruments, he is the first to admit he’s not a professional player. Surprisingly, he has only had a handful of paying gigs playing the guitar and taught one lesson for pay. That single lesson came only two years after George first picked up a guitar when he was a student at the University of Chicago. He took the opportunity to show students how to play in an all new way. He demonstrated the style of Woody Guthrie, Maybelle Carter, and Bob Dylan to his young pupils.
